The Commitment Charter is our compass point, our constant reminder to protect our community at the University of Chichester.

The Charter itself is an act of community. It was developed jointly by the University and the Students’ Union.

It proudly features the signatures of the Vice-Chancellor and SU President, side by side, in solidarity.

It begins with a statement of joint commitment, then presents six values:

  • Respect
  • Educate
  • Support
  • Improve
  • Develop
  • Environment

The values spell the word “reside” and they should be upheld as you reside within our University community.

You can view the Charter to read the full statement of joint commitment and find an explanation of each value.
