Welcome to the University of Chichester’s Law Society!
Over the course of this year we hope to host a wide variety of different events, guaranteeing that there is something for everyone. From film nights, to end of year parties, we will ensure that your time at the University of Chichester is as memorable and enjoyable as possible.
Our committee is currently made up of a small group of students who all understand the trials and tribulations that come with taking a law degree. We consist of both Second and Third year students, meaning we can offer a range of advice and guidance.
A key focus of this year is to maintain a strong link between the student cohort, and the Committee – particularly in terms of student welfare and general wellbeing. We hope to offer a safe space for students to raise any concerns or issues they may have, as well as welcoming suggestions regarding the society or course in general. We also have a close link with all of the lecturers on the course, which means they are also always available for help or advise and to provide guidance.
Another key goal for this year is to encourage more people to join the committee, not only those studying law. We hope to offer a society for all, meaning anyone, whether you’re in a humanities subject not, is welcome to join the society and enjoy any events that take place. As a result, while we will organise events that have a law focus, there will also be lots of events that do not require any legal knowledge at all.
If you have any questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to send over an email and we’ll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible!
