About Us
The Ultimate Frisbee Club is a fast moving team sport enjoyed by lots of people over the world.
Come join the Chichester Cobras! Everyone is welcome.
What is Ultimate Frisbee?
Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact sport, often compared to a combination of sports (American Football, Netball, Basketball...). Played indoor and outdoor, the objective is to score points by passing the disc up the field/court to an end-zone where the disc must be caught, inside, to score (Like American Football). Similar to Netball, a player cannot move with the disc.
Indoors, the sport is played 5-a-side on a court that is similar in size to a Basketball court. Outdoors, the sport is played 7-a-side on a pitch similar to a small Football pitch.
If you are interested in finding out more about the sport, the governing body’s (UK Ultimate) website has more information:?http://www.ukultimate.com/
The team is very friendly and we welcome players of all levels. Even if you have never picked up a disc before, please come and give it a go, it is easy to get started! Most students haven’t played frisbee before coming to university, so you won’t be the odd one out. Our training sessions will be aimed at the level of the participants, aiming to help develop your skills at a rate you are comfortable with, while also preparing you to prepare for competition, should you wish to compete. The club also holds weekly themed socials aside from training, open to all, and hosts a variety of events throughout the year.
