The University of Chichester Netball Club is a competitive and friendly club. For the upcoming season, the club is aiming to build upon everything achieved last year and become an even stronger group of players.
The club consists of 5 teams. The 1s to 4s all compete in differing tiers of the BUCS league and our fifth team is made up of social players, who play in the local Thursday league that takes place in the University’s Dome. The club is open to all levels of players and provides a good range of participation and competitive netball. The club is open to everyone, catering for any individual’s needs, and providing opportunities for all to play.
The netball club is gradually developing its local community links by helping to run several netball tournaments for local schools and clubs, as well as competing in friendlies with local teams and colleges. We also use these links to enhance both coaching and umpiring skills of the girls within the club.
As a club, we engage in creating and running fundraising events to help support local charities, such as the Chichester Dementia Hub, the NHS, and Pink Week, raising money for Cancer Research UK. Fundraisers that the club has created and run include 12 hour netball tournaments, mixed netball tournaments, cake sales, sponsored cycles, and quiz nights.
The club has an inclusive and friendly atmosphere, welcoming anyone who wants to just give netball a try or those who want to play competitively. If you are interested in joining the netball club, please don’t hesitate to contact us using the information below.
