The Mens Football Club prides itself on combining competitive Football with a friendly and sporting atmosphere that students of all abilities can enjoy.
The University Men’s Football team comprises of five successful teams who compete in the British University College Sport’s League (BUCS), which is amongst the top six universities in Britain, as well as comfortably leading the South Eastern rankings. The club has achieved several titles year on year, the most recent being two promotions and 4 top two finishes. The club aims to remain a big and successful club within the university. We have links with other teams and involvement with local teams and the community. Whether you want to compete at the highest level or play for a team for the social aspect of university life, this club has both options.
As to be expected of the national game, football is one of the most popular and largest clubs at Chichester boasting 5 teams. The club prides itself on its strength in depth which means that most teams play in divisions against higher opposition. In the 2019/20 season, the Club ranked 6th in the UK after the impressive performances of all the 5 Wednesday teams, especially the 1st teams fourth place finish in the UK highest League. The Club enjoys links with both Chichester FC and Predators FC for additional playing opportunities.
Men’s university Football is run by a strong committee, who all play vital parts in ensuring the club is run inclusively, while being successful.
