Welcome to the ACS CHI (African Caribbean Society)!
We are a group of students who come together to create a community for all but especially for the ethnic minority students. We believe in equality, and diversity and will be using our platform to challenge any wrongdoing or discrimination within the university. Officially starting up this year (2024), we want to create a society that in ten years from now is still thriving and future students don't have to go through any form of racism or discrimination.
Our main aims are:
Create a community and safe space for all students especially BAME students
To educate everyone throughout the university to prevent racism and microaggressions
To create events tailored towards the ethnic community
To be the voice for students within the university, highlighting concerns with the SU and members of staff
