We make sure our actions and decisions are:
- Clear
- Reasonable
- Responsible
- Transparent
- Accountable
- Informed by you
- Shared with you.
You’ll always know what we’re doing (and why) and we’ll involve you in every decision. We do everything we can to respect your wishes. We do this through a student-led governance structure. It provides a clear hierarchy of decision-making, with students at the very top.
This is explained in our:
These documents outline the way the SU works, the binding principles and key processes to ensure good practice and compliance with regulations such as UK charity law, company law, the education act, University policies and procedures and SU policies and procedures.
You have lots of opportunities where you can receive updates, share your views, and scrutinise our activity. You can attend the: All Student Meeting - our annual general meeting (AGM)
You can also:
- Access the agenda and minutes for all meetings
- Respond to an All Student Question, or referenda
- Vote for your officers in the SU elections
- Contact your officers and course reps.
Ultimately, we want (and need) you to join us, inform us, question us, challenge us.
In doing so, you will make us better, and we can make your university experience better in return.
